Description
The journey of grieving for a loved one is conveyed through Indigenous culture’s dreamtime.
Aboriginal people believe their ancestors came to the Earth and formed the landscape. Their spirits belong to the land, and are the rocks, the trees, the mountains and the rivers.
Three years after Grandfather passes away, Henry’s family return to the gorge. Henry remembers his Grandfather teaching him to hunt in the streams for silver fish, and to find emu eggs out in the scrub. Henry misses his Grandfather.
One morning Henry leaves camp to visit his ancestor’s rock paintings. He becomes trapped in a rock fall. As he struggles to break free, Henry begins to understand that Grandfather’s spirit is all around him.
This is their country.
